As you’ve probably noticed from reading our devblogs, this major update is improving communications and logistics in the Zone. And what would logistics be without packages?

Introducing post offices! We accept explosives, flammable, poisonous, and levitating items for delivery. You’ll have to carry anything that growls yourself.

You’ve Got Mail

Post offices will open throughout the Zone wherever personal storage is available. Right from the storage interface, you’ll be able to put together a package for yourself or another stalker by entering their nickname in the recipient field.

Choose from delivery options that vary in speed and price, and send it off!

You’ll also be able to include a short note with your package. Or money—this “best gift in the world” can be sent too.

When a package arrives, the recipient will receive a notification.

This wonder of advanced civilization has only one limitation: you’ll only be able to send packages to post offices in towns you’ve already visited.

We plan to tie many in-game events to the mail system, including their rewards. And we’ll keep making life in the Zone more convenient. Got ideas? Share them in the comments!
