Friends and the Blacklist

Stalkers! We’re preparing for a major new update and continuing our series of developer diaries about its new features. We are introducing the new “Friends and Blacklist” functionality!

Add Friends

In the Zone, it’ll become easier not only to find a reliable companion, but also to keep in touch. You’ll be able to save a friend’s contact in a new dedicated menu by pressing F11 or clicking the icon above the chat.

Once your new companion accepts the friend request, you’ll both be able to see when the other last entered the Zone, and you’ll receive a chat notification whenever your friend comes online.

The same window also includes a convenient option for inviting friends to your squad.

Send Them Where They Belong

Having enemies in the Zone is perfectly normal. What’s even more normal is sending them where they belong… straight to your blacklist.

A separate tab in the new menu will let you block messages and friend requests from unwanted players.
