What has changed!

Stalkers!

After a long break, it’s easy to think that everything in the Zone has stayed the same. The same problems, the same feelings, the same old issues.

But some things have already changed. Not just in words, but in ways you can actually feel in the game: in close combat, gunfights, performance, and client stability.

Here’s a short breakdown of what has been done and why it matters to players. Not future promises, but changes that are already affecting the game: combat, performance, the client, and stability. Point by point, without unnecessary technical details — just the essentials.

1. Server synchronization has improved

Simply put, there should now be fewer strange moments in close-range PvP where you see one thing, but the game seems to calculate something else. Close-range firefights, sharp movements, and fast encounters are where these improvements should feel the most noticeable.

2. Fewer performance drops during shooting. Engine performance has been improved.

For players, it means fewer sudden stutters and hiccups at the exact moments when you need to shoot, move, and react.

3. Grass no longer kills FPS. Grass rendering is now almost “free” for the system.

Grass no longer affects performance or tanks FPS. This is especially important for low-end and mid-range PCs, where every frame drop is immediately noticeable.

4. The client has been migrated to x64. The game now uses your computer’s resources more efficiently.

This improves memory handling and reduces some long-standing issues: crashes, memory shortages, and errors that could previously ruin a session.
