Zone Contamination Event

The latest update has been installed on all servers.

 

We are introducing a new event: “Zone Contamination.”

Recently, abnormal changes in mutant behavior have been observed across the Zone. Their aggression has increased significantly: more frequent incursions into settlements and attacks along stalker routes have been reported.

 

The scientific expedition “Aegis” has dispatched a specialist — Professor Zverev. During his research, he discovered that after a mutant dies, a so-called “fungal growth” forms on its body.

 

To further study this phenomenon and develop countermeasures, samples of these growths from various mutant species are required.

 

Professor Zverev is currently stationed at the “Market” location and is exchanging “fungal growths” for components used to assemble the new sniper rifle, Alligator.

Considered rare due to expensive components and complex manufacturing process

 

Additionally, new modifications have been added to the game (with no time restrictions on usage):

“Dovetail” scope (assault, 2–4x)

Suppressor (auto, 5.45, 5.56)

Titan suppressor 7.62×39

 

For stalkers who do not wish to participate in hunting mutants or assisting the Aegis scientists, alternative ways to obtain equipment have been added:

Please also note that increased mutant activity is a temporary phenomenon and will last for 2 months, from 23.04.2026 to 23.06.2026.
